Apparently my work overpaid me on my first pay cheque, and are now deducting the amount by dividing it equally over next month’s pay cheques. Anyhow, it works out to about $150.00 deducted off of each pay cheque, which is a slight pain in the ass. I could have saved that money. Oh, well, there’s not much I can do about it. I busted out my first pay stub and do see that they are correct in the overpayment. Ouch. Kind of stings a little bit.

I also just realized I completely forgot to do my taxes. Actually, more like procrastinated, and now I probably owe the government more money. That’s fucking retarded. I think taxes are the most ridiculous thing in the world and could be dropped by more than a significant amount and still be able to fund the government. When I was born, I apparently signed myself - just by coming into existance - into a life long contract of servitude for the Canadian government. Here’s my money, take it, please. I want you to have it, Mr. Tax Man. This was something that was put into place after the war in order to help the country get back on its feet, so why exactly are we paying such high taxes?

I am part of your middle class, and if you haven’t noticed, Mr. Government Officials, WE’RE BARELY FUCKING SURVIVING HERE. I can’t buy food for the next four days until I get paid. Oh, they’re going to try and tell me that I spend the money on booze and other unnecessary things - sorry, but this is not true, I literally DO NOT have enough to keep me going for two weeks at the moment. I am currently trying to save money, therefore helping me get back on my feet, but it’s extremely hard.

I hate our passive Canadian government with all of it’s phonies, and I absolutely despise the American government we feed off of. They make me sick.

Ugh. Wow. I am in dire need of a cigarette. I can’t wait until my father gets here.
